1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between STEAM Hub Software Corp, a Delaware corporation doing business as String ("Company," "we," or "us"), and you ("Customer," or "you"). Anyone accepting these Terms on behalf of a school or district represents that they have authority to bind that entity.
2. Description of services, and the AI disclaimer
String is an AI-driven Digital Learning Environment designed to assist educators with curriculum planning, grading, and student performance analysis.
3. Account registration and responsibilities
- Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information, and maintain the confidentiality of their credentials.
- School districts must ensure that only authorized personnel access the Services.
- School districts must manage parental consent for students under 13, in compliance with COPPA.
4. Payment, invoicing, and checks
The Service bills on a subscription basis. The financial terms:

All payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees paid are non-refundable, except where the Company is in breach.
5. Intellectual property and content ownership
- Users retain ownership of the data, text, files, and student records they upload, as well as teaching materials, lesson plans, or content generated by the Services specifically for them.
- String retains ownership of the Services themselves — source code, interface design, and underlying software — and of its proprietary AI algorithms, models, and "Learning DNA" methodologies.
- Users grant String a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, and process Customer Data to provide the Service, including improving its algorithms on a de-identified basis.
6. Service level and support
The Company commits to commercially reasonable efforts to make the Services available 24/7, excluding planned downtime. Enterprise customers with a signed SLA may receive specific uptime guarantees; standard accounts carry no financial guarantee of uptime.
7. Data privacy and security (FERPA and COPPA)
String acts as a "School Official" with respect to Student Data. The School bears responsibility for obtaining parental consent for children under 13. The Company implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data, detailed in full on the Privacy and Security pages.

- The initial subscription term is specified in the order form, typically 12 months.
- Either party may terminate upon material breach that goes unremedied within 30 days of written notice.
- Upon termination for String's breach, the customer is refunded prepaid amounts for the unused portion.
- Student data is retained for approximately 60 days after termination to permit export before deletion.
10. General provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes proceed through binding arbitration in Austin, Texas. The complete agreement comprises these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable order forms.
